Recently got a northern mist classic off the classifieds here. Not really liking trying to string it with me stringer. Tips are too small and make me nervous. Any suggestions?

I use an old one with small leather pockets for my longbows, works great.

Here is what I did, I bought this stringer (3 Rivers if I recall) and I cut one end down like so

The bottom loop fits in the larger pocket just fine, and the upper gets me enough room to get the string in/out of the groves

FYI that is my NM Classic I used for the picture, I'm guessing yours would be quite similar.

I prefer the "Webster" string for my heavy Hills. I use mine on bows above 100#s with now problems at all. Great stringer and easy to use and easy on your bow.

Yeah,the push pull method.When i was a youngin,the old timers,used to say,"If ya cant string it,you shouldnt shoot it.LOL
Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

Traxx. Yes I can string it with the push pull and step through method.

Hey Beaver---Looks like sticnstones and I came up with the same solution---use the same modified stringer for my NM Whisper.

The ones like David suggests. Also I have a couple with the sleeve on one end and than a rubber piece on the other and the stringer is divided in two and than step on stringer, lift bow and slide string into place. Much like the pic of Davids! You can also push pull or step thru and with a longbow not worry about damaging the bow so much as putting your eye out!! Use caution! Shawn
