Was messing around w/ the newest version of Stu's calculator and saw some strange results. When I changed the center cut to make the bow more past center, the arrow speed went up??? Arrow specs didn't change but speed and KE went up . Can the bow's centercut make a difference in speed?

Here's a wild guess. With the string's thrust more directly behind the arrow, less energy is spent bending the arrow and more goes into the speed. Now that would be a fun thing to check if I had a chrono. Check the speed; then build the sideplate out and recheck.

The older versions of the calc don't do this ......?

I think it's done automatically by changing the "effective draw weight" of the bow. The closer to center or beyond, the higher the poundage - hence the higher the speed.
