I see Dink's Feather shop is a sponser and he is offering laminated maple arrow shafts.

Am curious to here from those that have tried them or are using them?
Do they hold up well?
Are they easy to straighten and stay straight?

I've used sitka spruce from hilldebrand and am currently using douglas fir so thats my only experiance with wood shafts.

Thanks,
Ed

I had some--great quality shafts but too heavy for the poundage I shoot.  They made arrows that were about 750 grains with just a 125 grn point.  Dink's shafts are great in the straightness dept. but if a laminated shaft needs to be straighened it is harder to do than regular wood shafts.  At least that's my experience.

I'd like to try some of those....I have a few compressed Maples I got years ago....took TNT to break one...and they too were around the 750 grain range.

Maple is definitely strong and heavy but I have doubts about anything laminated. I just got some Surewood Shafts from Surewood Steve and they are fantastic. Steve will get you very close to the finish arrow weight your looking for.
