I just received a beautiful longbow in a trade, but have a question.  It has a pretty significant reflex/deflex and is it normal for the string to lay a lot closer to the bottom limb than the top limb?  It is tillered for split finger.  Is this due to tillering?  I just haven't noticed it before.  Thanks for any help!

Sounds odd to me.  Can you post a pic?

A little closer in normal, a lot closer is something different.  What is the brace height?

I'll have to measure it when I get home, I just strung it up and eyeballed it before work.  Will try and get some measurements when I get home.  It might not be "a lot", but it is noticable.  Thanks.

Definately possible, and not unusual on some aggressive limb designs with thin cores.  I have one that is very sensitive to brace height and have noticed it is more pronounced when the brace height is too low.  Try twisting up the string and raise your brace height.

I noticed the same thing with my Kanati. It shoots well and is quiet. If yours is shooting well I wouldn't worry about it.

A lot is kind of subjective. My 'lot' and yours may be very different. That being said, I would think it is just fine. The proof is in the profile at full draw.
You said that it is a significant reflex/deflex, and that will make the stronger bot. limb look  exaggerated.
How does it shoot?

Is your brace height correct? I had on my Zipper with carbon&foam limbs when The brace height was real low the string was laying on the one limb.Raised the brace up to the correct height and it was corrected.I noticed this when I was putting a new string on it until I set the brace.Just a thought. Some highly R/D longbows use a higher brace then you might be used to.
