Shrew Takedown???

Wondering if anyone can shed some light for me on the takedown system Ron uses for his Shrews. I've searched the Shrew website, but can't find a description of their takedown system, only that they offer the option.
Specifically I would also like to hear from those of you who have Shrew takedowns as to how they perform and how satisfied you are with the system.

Shrew uses the bow bolt system. I have a Classic Hunter 56",the bow bolt holds very tight.
I just picked up a Hoots long bow with the bow bolt system and it is also a very good fit.

I also think that the riser needs to be phenolic to hold the bow bolt system so the phenolic with the bow bolt adds some mass weight to the bow.

I would recommend this type of take down as a super system!!!

My bow is actually Ron's bow that he used some in 2011 at the Shrew Haven hunt. I purchased it January of 2012 at the Kalamazoo show and have shot it every day since then.
I have an indoor range that we shoot at least 3 to 4 hours each day 4 days a week.
I have only taken apart 4 to 5 times for a demonstration to others and have never had a problem with the assembly.

I have 3 takedown shrews with the bow bold system and 2 one piece shrews. I can't tell the difference between the 2. I love the takedowns for travel. If I end up with another it will be a toss up if its a 1 or 2 piece, as I already have the 3 if different weights and lengths for travel.

I have two Shrew's with the Bowbolt Takedown system, a 58" Classic Hunter and a 56" Lil Favorite. Also own Bowbolt Toelke's and McCullough Griffin's. Never had a bit of trouble with it, a very solid takedown system. I might add all my Bowbolt bows are on the lighter side, scaling in the mid fourties drawn to 30".

Thanks for the input. It sounds like the bowbolt is a good reliable system.
Do either of you notice a change in the dimensions of the handle on your takedowns? i.e. is it larger in diameter?
I'm assuming the bowbolt adds some mass to the bow?

I have 3 bow bolt Shrews, love em. The bow bolt does add a little mass but no noticeable girth.

I have several shrews With the bow-bolt, to be honest I would not buy one now without it! Love the Bow-bolt. You wont tells its there, everyone I hand my shrews to thinks they are a one Piece.

For the heavier DW bows, Gregg puts a phenolic riser in which I like anyway, with the way the bow is adds nice weight to the handle making it more stable and dead in the hand.
