I traded emails with Dave Johnson and it looks like I am a few weeks out from getting my bow.  Quicker than I expected and need to make some arrows.  This longbow will be 40# @ 27".  My arrows are typically 29.75" BOP.  I want to build 1 dozen wood arrows and 1 dozen aluminum arrows.  I would like point weights in the 125-145gr range.  What spine shafts do y'all recommend?  I am thinking 40-45# spines for the woods and 1816's for the aluminums.

Brazos, congratulations on your bow! No sure on the arrows. What is the brace height?

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

Brazos - What is your draw length? You said your arrows are typically 29 3/4", but what do you draw?

My Dave Johnson is 50# @ 28" and I draw 27.5" with the arrows cut 29.25 to bop. So I can shoot 50/54  to 55/59 spined woddies without any problems.

Ric, my draw length is 27".  I tend to use a little longer arrow than I need to.

Shifting Shadow,  do not know BH yet as I am still a few weeks out from getting the bow.

Thanks.
