Im still pretty young and wont be 25 yet when we move out to Missoula, so I will spend my forseeable hunting seasons chasing elk, muleys and whitetail out there. I dont necessarily have a dream hunt as I plan on hunting with my Tall Tines the rest of my life and have a supporting wife so that helps! I really cant wait to go on a caribou hunt, a moose hunt somewhere, and my ultimate goal is to take a Montana bighorn ram and mountain goat...but for now spring turkeys in Iowa are what I'm dreaming about   :archer2:

American Bison (Buffalo) anywhere. Free ranging animals......cow or bull really wouldn't matter.

A game rich environment.  I don't have anything per say.  I go back and forth between elk, caribou and pronghorn.  My biggest frustration is the lack of game seen while hunting around home and the background noise of highways and bi-ways.  That's all...

I think caribou on the move would be awesome, so would a buglin bull, or a cat with dogs, or anything african,  or an ibex, or.....maybe a gator, or.....I could go on and on!

Trumpkin the Dwarf

A full season free to hunt with one of Montana's most coveted Bighorn sheep tags(district 482) in my pocket.

Since we're dreaming, mine would be a Dall Sheep hunt in Alaska...WITHOUT a guide

Couple of things I guess, Yukon moose, Alaskan grizzly, elk anywhere, and a mounted buffalo hunt would be my top choice.

A lot of my dream hunts have to do with not just what I would be hunting and where but WHO I would hunt with. Hunting with traditional bow-hunting cultures that still hunt for subsistence would be my ultimate hunt. It would be amazing to experience and learn from their tracking skills, stalking, etc.

Total Fantasy:
Papua New Guinea: I would love to hunt wild pigs or deer with the native New Guineans that still hunt with bows. Saw some of their gear in one of Ashby's presentation and it was incredible. Their arrows weigh thousands of grains with FOCs above 30%!
Amazon: I've always wanted to go to the Amazon or one of the tributaries. I would love to hunt with any tribe still using bows to take whatever game they hunt.
Kalahari: The bushmen are some of the best trackers in the world and some still hunt with bows. Hunting and tracking with them would be a life-changing experience!

More realistic dream hunts:
Pigs, goats, fallow deer on any of the Hawaiian islands . Desert Bighorn in CA or AZ. Javelina in AZ or Texas.

OK, time to get back to reality...

If time and money weren't a factor I'd never come home from the hunt. It'd be like the movie endless summer but with a bow instead of a surfboard. Enough said.

I would buy 5000 acres in Iowa and manage it for giant whitetails. There is nothing on earth that I would rather hunt!! Shawn

That moose John float trip in Alaska is about as cool as it gets in my opinion.
