Got the mail today and there was a small package from Safari Tuff....the new leather tab! I am very impressed with the quality of this tab. It didn't need to be broken in like some I've tried. The design is perfect as it fit my fingers. The other nice thing is that it has an overlay of thicker leather that fits in the palm and has a straight edge where the string sits. Very repeatable fit on the string! Yep, it's a keeper!

Snag, I looked up the tab on Safari Tuff and it looks like all of them are for 3 fingers under? Ken

I don't like the target tabs I have tried because they scuff my face, but I liked the string on the plate edge.  I have been shooting my Eichler split and three under.  This looks like a great three under hunting tab.

How does the size work for you? Did you have to trim it?

Received my tabs yesterday. I can't wait to try it out today. They feel nice in my hand. This is a large size.

Just what I've been looking for!

Nice looking tab.  I didn't think anything could catch my eye after shooting the Cavilier elite, but this one has.

My favorite feature is the straight edge to place the string against. Also, this being leather instead of metal in the palm will better protect the bow when handling.

I shoot a small in the Cavilier and have a medium as well as a servicable back-up. I haven't ordered this Safari Tuff one yet.

From this one photo it looks like the plate edge is a long way from the first joint in fingers and would not be on the string.  The cord hole looks closer to the plate edge than on the couple target style tabs I tried. Maybe the tab settles down with the cord on the knuckle.  Everyone will have to post up how it fits and work.  I am real interested in one, but have no idea on size yet.

The mail carrier just stopped at the mail box, I'm expecting my new Safari Tuff tab that I ordered a few days ago might be at the end of the driveway.  The photos look nice...I think I'll walk out and see if mine came.

Xtreme, I found that when I bend my fingers to grip the string that the tabs edge settles right up against the string. Like most tabs when you lay them open in the hand the edge is drawn away from the finger tips.

I'm with you Bowwild...love that it is all leather. I have been using the Cavalier Elite. Never liked the metal. Also the leather in the palm is substantial and not thin like some tabs.

Just ordered it and am looking forward to comparing.

I liked mine well enough that I just ordered two more !!

         Thanks Rod and Scott !

They look really nice.  I would rather have one with an "O" ring on it instead of that cord.  Wonder if he could do one with that feature for me or if I'd have to try and do it myself?
