Got a new to me used 64" LX coming 42#@28". What can i expect for speed, quietness, smoothness etc? I have a 29" draw. Thanks, Bob

Sirius Black

I've owned 2 of them, great bows, you won't be disappointed. Right now I have a XR 64" 42@28, also a great shooter.

I got to shoot one with about those same specs.  I was impressed!!  Super smooth draw, excellent speed!

Bob, if you've never had a RER before you'll be impressed. That one is a beauty, Kevin builds a fantastic bow.

Don't know if you can get a better 3 peice takedown, equal sure, better not so sure...the LX is one fine bow....

Over&Under

I was very impressed with the LX I had.
It was part of a two limb combo where the recurve was not long enough for my draw but the longbow was.

It was fast and smooth and as nice as anything I have owned...very impressive.

I have an XR now and would love to have an LX to compliment.

They're great bows, quiet, fast, smooth, and very nice looking (sounds like the perfect woman).  With other RER's I've shot, at your draw length, you should get close to 185 fps with 10 grains arrow weight per pound of draw weight.

I was impressed with mine when I had it.  Very nice craftsmanship.

Thanks guys. I've owned the recurves but not a longbow. Can't wait to shoot it.

I think you are about to fall in love Bob.  I have owned a lot of bows over the years, and my RER LX is one that will always be here.  It is the best shooting bow I have ever owned, and a real looker as well.

In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.

Bob:

It should shoot about the same as the 42# XR you sold me.

I shot the LX and XR ay Kzoo. Them and the Vital were my favorite bows there. The only thing that I did not like about them was the year wait for one.

I am like it too, Mike...thanks again...sent you a pm
I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I shoot a 64" LX 49 @ 28".  All around one of the best shooting bows I've ever owned.  Grip is 2nd to none.
I'd love to see some carbon foam limbs built for one of these suckers as it'd make them the ultimate!
