Has anyone tried the Double Bull Double Wide Door ground blind? I am thinking of getting one but I notes it is 4 inches shorter than the Recurve model. Looking for some feed back.

I have not tried the DB DW but I did order a Primos Blind Luck (used to be Dark Horse) for Christmas. While it did come with a very nice pack it was so heavy (25#) that I returned it. It was very well made but that weight just does not fit my hunting requirements for public land. I rarely use a blind though so I do not require a "bullet proof" blind. Just something to consider.

I've got a recurve model and three regular double bulls. I have no problem shooting from the regular blinds with my recurves. I've used up to 60" models with no problems and shoot sitting down.

CA, You might want to check out Barronett Blinds. Their Big Mike XT is 7' tall. I'm thinking of getting one to replace my Ameristep Bighouse.

My buddy has one of the original double bull blinds with the single large window in the front and the small port windows in the back. He got it about 5-6 years ago. I've used it several times. I just got the Double Bull double wide blind this past fall. Similar setup as his blind except the double wide door on mine versus zipper door on his.

The two differences are as follows:
1) Engaging the hubs on his versus mine are easier, so set-up is easier and quieter.
2) The fabric on his is softer, so getting in and out is quieter. I used mine in December MI hunts when it was below freezing and the double wide door sounded like loud crumpling papaer. Also, if you bump the blind from inside, it's louder on the new version.
3) Shooting my 60" Bear Super K out of my blind I have to cant it a little more than out of his blind.  My 56" Super Shrew I don't have any problems with.

If I were buying again, I would try to find the older style recurve blind instead of the new double wide door new version.

I got the double wide, love it!  Its the best of all the models I've had from them.  I love the no shine fabric, which is really the only reason I spend the money.  The door on the double wide is also great, can finally get in a cold blind and with a pack on no less.
