Congrats!!  What a way to end the year.  I love the pict of the arrow in the snow with teh spatter trail.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Great job, I having been trying to get a shot on the ground. How far was the shot? What was your setup?

Using my 54# Thunderstick, throwing a 570 grain arrow, tipped with a 4 bl. Magnus Stinger.

I was sitting in a brush-added deadfall. Still felt a bit naked but I was wearing ASAT bibs and Predator coat, so I felt pretty comfortable sitting.....

However, I watched this guy for about 15 min. as close as 7 yds ( I was afraid to breath...) and as far as 20. finally got to take a slightly quartering away shot at about 12 yds... Slipped the arrow right behind the diagham and coming out between the 3 & 4th. ribs.  Took liver, paunch, and 1 lung.
