What length do you draw to, and what weight head are you gonna use.
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

Stumpkiller

If you are drawing 28" then 65-70# 23/64" tapered to 5/16" Douglas fir and 125 or 130 gr heads.  ;-)

If your reease is good and it's near center-shot 60-65# may work as well.

I agree with the Stumpkiller on the 65/70's...if the bow is cut to center. If it is cut past center I'd jump up a spine group.

I'd go with James' recommendation.  Try full length AD Trad Lites.  I'd prefer a little more weight up front, but you should be okay with 125.

I'm shooting 30" AD Trad Lites with 200 gr. up front out of several of my bows ranger from #50 @ 28" to #60 @ 28" (my DL is 27").

Without a doubt, the AD's are the easiest to tune carbon arrows out there for trad.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.
