Minus 33 wool tops?

I am getting a top that is a expedition weight and would like to know if I should also get the light weight top for under it? I guess what I am trying to get at, is the light weight softer next to the skin or does it matter?

I have it. It is very soft. No need for a lighter weight top underneath.

A good option for under wool next to skin soft is silk.

plenty soft without the lightweight. however, i have both and sometimes where them together. the lightwt is perfect too for cool temps but not cold

I have both and they are the same excellent softness and next to skin comfort but the 400wt is just thicker and warmer than the 200wt.
