Hello all,

I was considering joining Compton, but don't know any members personally.

I looked at their website, but couldn't find anything about a publication.  Don't really want to join an organization that I'll never have contact with, except paying dues.

I dropped out of P&Y 5 or 6 years ago, after being a member for 15 years or so.  Would like to support a traditional outfit with the money I used to send to P&Y.

Thanks, Paul

Yes. I beleive it is four times a year.

We do have a quarterly magazine called "A Walk In The Woods"  There are generally a half dozen or so articles on various topics including hunts, how to's, etc. along with information on upcoming events within the organization.

To join, you can go directly online to the Compton website and pay directly there using a credit card or PayPal, or you can print out an application form and mail it in with payment if you prefer.  Here is the link:

In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.

"A walk in the woods" is an entertaining mag; worth the membership in and of itself. Looking forward to the next issue.

Don't know where you are in Ms, but you could meet some of the nice folks from Compton at the Spring Fling in Feb at the Tannehill Shoot. You can get the info from All South Archery.
We had a ball last year with great vendors, and goos courses.
Hope to see you there!
