I am needing to buy some inexpensive durable arrows for a rookie shooter- preferable aluminum or carbon (he has all ready trashed several of my hand made wood shafts) I dont want to spend a bunch of money on them, its for a 30# bow that is cut to center-

any help?

Catch the classifieds and see who has resonable arrows for sale used or catch wallmart and strip.and feetch with feathers or limit it to one arrow practice till he gets better that way he dosnt learn to chase his last arrow

I have found the Beeman ics bowhunters to be reasonably priced and very durable.  I wold guess a 600 spine, the 500's work out of my 45 and 50 pound bows.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I would get a dz blemished carbons from Bigjim...$45  and then spray paint at least the back haft yellow so they will be easy to find!

And if you want to make them really tough to break foot them with aluminum!.....here is a thread about how to do it...

the 15/35's should do it and I was going to also suggest the Blems.  I've been buying them to do some experimenting with and they are great.

If you don't mind putting a little time and effort into it, you can make up some really cheap arrows using bamboo stakes from your local home depot/lowes, or use dowels.  They work great for practice and can be done very inexpensively. There's some how to's on the website for more details.

Easton Blues or Jazz shafts in 1716 should do it.

I got lucky and bought over 100 shafts at a garage sale for 5 dollars. In the bundle there were 10 aluminum gold shafts with no markings and only one had insert. they are the old aluminum with the tapered knock end. They appear to be target shafts they aren 30.5 inches. I would send them to you for free if interested. Just let me know. I would be proud to help a rookie out.

If you have a rookie shooter you better invest in a fletching jig and supplies. Your gonna need them.

I have the supplies to fletch, what I do not have is the time. I really appreciate your help!
