Weekend hunt

I thought I'd share some video of part of my weekends hunting.

This was a backpack hunt where we fly camped about 5 and a half hours walk into the ranges. Altitude about 5000 feet if I have converted it correctly. The cameraman is my brother who used one of those metal and chemical contraptions to secure meat the first day, then left it behind so we could have some fun with the bow.
The girl on the right was hearing the occasional noise my feet made in the tussock, which was enough to keep her attention my way. If I had of realised I would have sat down for a bit, but at that point i couldn't see them. Distance is about 20 yards.
I knew as soon as I released that I had stuffed up, I'd gone back to an old habitual anchor point I don't use now in the heat of the moment. Also I see some error in my release as well. Enough for the shot to go high.
All part of the learning curve anyway.

That was a good stalk, you can be proud of that one thats for sure.  the shot will come together on the next one

Ha ha, yeah I didn't even look for it. The ridge they were on drops away 300 feet behind them.
