I can't quiet my Dorado!!

Not to get off topic, but a thing or two to note about silencers...especially cat whiskers.

WHERE you install them matters--and silencers can be tuned, just like brace height.  Some bows don't follow the "rules", so you may have to tinker to find the "sweet spot".  I saw one bow where the silencers worked best about 5" or 6" from the ends--doesn't make sense, but that did the trick.

HOW you install them matters.  I tie mine on around the string so they can be moved up or down for tuning.

Along with this, one big mistake I've seen with cat whiskers is leaving them way too long.  More is not always better.  Leave them too long, they will make their own slapping noise.  Fold the silencer in half and put it on.  You'll have 1/2 the length but it will be twice as thick--then trim it down so it makes a little ball.

I haven't run across a bow yet that I couldn't quieten (pending there wasn't something inherently wrong with tiller, etc.).  Cat whiskers, but properly installed, work as well or better than anything I've used.  Took me a while to figure out that how and where they were applied made the difference.

I put a skinny string on mine and it eliminated all vibration!!!   Dead quiet!!
