Hi gang,

On my daily archery research I came across this video from Arrow Slig'n TV with Ty where he was trying out his new Bob Lee bow. Beautiful bow, no question, but one thing got my attention. He uses Easton St Epic 400's.

For a 56# bow isn't this shaft a little light? Or there's a way to turn them heavier? I'm asking because I have a bunch of them and I also shoot 56#. If I could use them without ruin my bow I could just smack them on my roving sessions without breaking my hunting harrow's!

Let me know what you think please.

Diogo

No. My 400FMJ s come up way STIFF out of my 55# stalker.  And they are un cut!!  500s fly real well.   Most modern arrows were tested/ made for compound bows.

Nope...those 400's should be about perfect. I use 400's with my #56 Tall Tines with a 200 gr. point. Comes in just under 10 GPP and are darts!

My DL is 29.

Matty, I've never thought of that. I have from my compound some Axis 400 and Epic 400. For my father 45# recurve I use 500FMJ but because they seemed light I've never tried them on my BW.
I only have this bow to shoot (appart one Samick that I don't use) and with fear to use too light arrows I've never tried them. I shoot CE Heritage 250 cut at 29,5 with 250 up front and they are bullet's. They weight 623 grains and I get 11gpp.

But not living in USA means that gear is hard to find so I hate to break arrows (mine CE heritage)just because I shot a stone by accident in stump shooting! If I could use those Epic's that are just collecting dust at least I would get so upset.   :banghead:

Manitoba, do you use the regular insert or some heavy one?
