I was wondering if anyone can help me with file sharpening broadheads.  I have Magnus II's,  two blades..... I have the KME sharpener which I like but after I glue on the broadheads I'm kind of stuck.  I can get a pretty good edge on them to slice paper with the file but not really shaving sharp.  My main question is angle of sharpening.  I'm wondering if  I might be taking too flat of angle and not getting just the edge like the KME does.  If anyone has some good videos or advice I would appreciate it. I have pretty much reviewed all the posts and videos from this website which have been helpful.  I would really like to learn this skill. Appreciate any input you might have. I have the Swiss Grobet from 3R 8" for sharpening.  Thanks again,

J

First is the file still sharp?  If the file was not chalked it will get dull quickly.  If its shinny its dull.  Next it takes light strokes to get it really sharp.  Also I use the edge of my coffee cup last to make mine wicked sharp.

Oh yea is that Gorbet double or songle cut.  I got one that was double cut the last time I ordered.  While double is fine for setting the angle it does not make a good razors edge.

Not sure why you are stuck once you glue them on the shaft. I sharpen mine on the arrow all the time.

If you haven't seen the videos I did on file sharpening I'll dig them up and post the link.
