I'm looking at a pair of longbow limbs that are 46# @ 28 on a 13" riser [Morrison]. I have a 17" Zipper and a 17" Morrison Alum riser, what would these limbs be ...4# less? Or am I not thinking in the right direction on this!

I think I heard one time before that you lose a pound for every inch that you move up.

ron w

That's what I'm thinking ,but I know that the limb pocket angle can change that whole theory.

I believe the Morrison 17" will be the same as the 13".  Not sure on the Zipper.  Give Bill a call and he'll be able to 'splain" it better.

You mean Bob as in Bob Morrison right?

Yep , Bill Dunn from Zipper is who I asked, they would be back up limbs for my Zipper in case something happened to my Dryads.

My bad.  I should have read the post closer.

Steelhead

I have heard the Morrisons are the same # regardless of riser length due to limb pad angles changing.
I have had 15",17,19" Morrisons and noticed no difference in poundage by the feel shooting the same limbs on them.
I did not scale them though.

Bill Dunn said he thought it would be about 3#'s less on my Zipper 17" riser.
