I just got a new to me BW and the string snapped on the first shot. From what I can tell from the two pieces I would guess the string length at 55.5 inches.  Does this seem right for a 60" recurve?

I would try a 55" string on that bow.

I would call black widow and ask them.  Faster and easier than posting here.

x2, always call the bowyer to take out any chance of error when it comes to brace heights or strings or questions related to their bow design.  That would always be my first choice...especially with a bowyer like Black Widow that is known for friendly customer service.
