I've heard of several fatal treestand accidents this year.  People, you need to be using a climbing system with every stand you put up!  It's simple, costs next to nothing, and can save you "everything".

It's what I use. I actually forgot, my harness on the first day from rushing around to get into the woods. I hunted on the ground under my stand. Life can change in a second.
