I have been having trouble with tie on nock points and BCY Halo serving. I like tie on nock points as they cost essentially nothing, they are light and are easily adjustable. I use either Halo or D50 for my tie on nocks. However I have been having trouble getting them to stay put on center serving with BCY Halo.  Halo is very slick and the windings seem to flatten out and gloss over with a little use. My tie on nock points after a little use wont stay put even if I tie them on fairly tight.

Anyone have any suggestions? I like the Halo as it's slickness seems to make for a smooth fingers release and it is easy to get the arrow nock to stay put but release easily when I tap the bowstring.

Thats the same knot I use . Works good for me two.

I use BCY nock point tying thread. It is specifically made for nock points. I tie them pretty snug so they can be adjusted, then add a bead of super glue to the outside edge when I'm done.

Davesea,

Thanks for the link. That is a very well done video and I can't wait to try that knot. I like the way he goes slowly through the whole sequence and explains why he does everything. The way I was shown was a series of 10 overhand knots alternating from top to bottom and then pulling the tag ends though with a loop inbetween the nock point and the serving. This way looks cleaner and more secure.
