A few years ago I was at a 3-D shoot where one of the events was a "One Arrow Shoot". This meant the archer must begin the 3-D course with only one arrow AND must finish with that one arrow (still in shooting condtion).   :readit:

i think you should write something on each persons arrow just to make sure that there is no way someone could switch arrows. just might keep other people from arguing about cheating.

and maybe what kind of tip. for example just field tips and no judos etc.

just my ideas

We toyed around with this same idea at Denton Hill this year and unfortunately never did it.  The rule was you take one arrow.  If you miss a target you have 3 minutes to find your arrow.  If you do not find it you must move on.  However if you find another arrow you may shoot it and continue with the round the same rules as before.  If the arrow breaks you may find another arrow or you are taking your bow for a walk the rest of the course.  It sounds like alot of fun.

Good ideas you have...

What time limit to look for a missed arrow?

I was thinking one minute only... and the time would begin after all arrows in the target are scored and all arrows pulled.

We would start the time immediately after the last person shot and with 3 minutes time can go pretty fast.

I'd look out for the fella that says he has a fused Knee,, but it clanks like arrows shafts when he walks,,LOL,,

Definately mark the arrow,
Time limit to find arrow,
Time limit to repair arrow if repairable,,IE insert or feild point,knock.,,.
I agree with all of these like sadi above,,J
