Anyone ever tried staining plastic nocks using clear PVC cleaner and a petroleum based dye? I'm tired of being limited to the same old boring colors but am nervous to try this.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

It's not going to work.Non-porous plastic that gets a lot of wear.Nothing is going to stick as well as you need it to.why don't you just change to a different color nock? Nocks are cheap.

I have tried spray paint and it has always flaked off. I found a site that tells you in detail how to stain any type of plastic and was wondering if anyone else tried it. Supposedly the PVC pipe cleaner melts the color into the plastic. I think I am going to try it on some spare nocks i have laying around

Give it plenty of testing. Using the PVC cleaner sounds like it will disrupt the integrity of the plastic. It wouldn't be worth it to stain the nocks only to have them blow up when shot.

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

That is my fear I will do some tinkering with it before I try to shoot it through any of my bows
