Anyone running different arrows on one bow for different circumstance?  I've been goofing around with tuning and can get a variety of different weight arrows to tune at a variety of different speeds.  Do you run only one weight/speed per bow or tune according to target?  I've got a #51 bow I'm thinking of running for everything with a variety of arrows.

I have bows that will shoot different kinds of arrows, wood, carbon and aluminum if that's what you mean.

Purple heart footed larch with woodsmans 670-694 grain

I dont have them for different hunting situations. I like hunting with wood but the legacys tuned so good i had to make a set to hunt with

They got to have the same speed and arc. I do not care what they are made of . As long as they fly the same.

I Make  my aluminum's the same length & weight as my Woods . They shoot to the same point of impact.     I Use aluminum's  for situations where I may be shooting into frozen excelsior bales in winter, bag targets that tend to grab at  field points on woods , or McKenzie targets   which try to eat wood shafts forever!  Hunt with Woods and like shooting woods much better than anything else . BUT always have a set of aluminum's around for EACH BOW !.

I have a LongBow thats probably as old, or older than I am, that likes 5/16 and 11/32 about 55 to 60 spine Wooden Arrows. Point weight from 100 to 140. It shoots where I look, and the 5/16 come out of that Bad Boy like Darts!!  :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :campfire:

I have 2 arrow set-ups for my Centaur,  550gr and a 650gr set. The 550gr set are 29" 3555 gt trads with 250 up front. The 650gr set are 28.5" 5577 gt trads with 350 up front. Both arrows shoot almost identical impacts from 20 yards and in. I've shot them both and prefer the 550gr arrows for their slightly flatter trajectory past 20yds and those are what I'll use this season for whitetails. Next year I'll be going back to wood arrows.

Brad that's what I'm talking about.  I've got 575 gr. Arrows tuned at 165 and 730 gr. At 150.  Have arrows on the way that should tune at about 630 and 160.  Was playing with some just under 500 last night that had to be pushing 180 though I didn't pull the Chronograph out.  They're all fun!

Lots think a differant bow is needed for differant game, whereas differant arrows can be the answer.I've been doing it for years.Anywhere from 500 to 700 grains from the same bow.Friends think I'm crazy for having so many differant arrows, there is a reason. With differant piont weights and FOC,the skys the limit what you can use.

Very good point Steve. Hope you're doing well.

Yep.  Regular arrows and flu-flu arrows are a must.
