Hey gang, looking for some advice on clicker setups.I am currently using a Klickety Klick from 3-R.
It seems i "feel" the clicker when i get to full draw and it distracts me from pulling through. Are you supposed to feel the extra weight the clicker adds.I want the "click" to come as a surprise and that's tough when i am anticipating it.
How far should the tie off on the sting be above the clicker(or should it be above)?
Does anyone have pictures of thier setups??
Thanks Bill

BobW

Sounds like you are pulling the clicker too far.  It should sound just as you are at anchor.  I was using a Cricket a short while ago, and I could make it click back down by breathing out (letting up slightly on back tension).

Sounds also like you need to make it a point to pause (count to 2) when you hear the click, them release.

Can't say I ever "felt it".

I just put one on and after I got it ajusted, I began to lose the distraction.I think you need to ajust a little more like Bobw mentiond and then start conentrating on your shot.
Your best shot is only as good as your next one!

I set mine up exactly at my draw length, which is 32". I pobably draw about 31 3/4", settle into anchor, aim, and then push/pull through the clicker (not into it, through it). After a few months of conditioning to the clicker, my release just sort of happens as soon as I hear the click.

If you have just started shooting the clicker in the last few days/ weeks depending on how much you shoot, do not do anything yet, just get used to it, the click should happen when you reach full draw and should trigger your release. Get rid of the chain and run a string the whole way instead of the chain, Makes it quietier with shot vibration.

Just my 2 cents worth, been shooting one about 3 yrs now, and have never had game spook because of it.
Rejoice in the lord always, And again I say Rejoice.
