I am using my para tipi for this years pack in elk hunt.I heard fire ban in Colorado has been lifted so I am considering taking my parastove. My question is to anybody who has used a stove like this do you heat up your water for mountain house meals ?I am going to do some testing tommorrow with stove and heating up water

It works well, but will really heat up your tent.

wigeon

Thanks guys will give it a try tommorrow

elkbreath

Really heats your tent. If you let the water boil long you'll know it!

Just boiled some water on stove, definetly will work and yes it willl really heat up my tent.Gonna have to go threw pack and see what I can do to keep my pack around the same weight with stove in it.

I have used the medium stove to do that very thing for MH. I prefer a small gas stove, it takes awhile to get the fire going in those boxes and Iam usually hungry and dont want to wait.
