Does anyone still shoot these shafts? Where do you get your inserts?
  Thanks, Jamie

I shoot them out of my 45# bow. The cheapest 1916 shafts I've found so far are from Bowhunters Superstore.  I don't know if Bowhunters Superstore sells inserts for 1916s, but I usually get my inserts from 3Rivers Archery.

Shoot them all the time. I have some camos for hunting but mainly shoot the Blues for 3D, practice, stump shooting.

Picked up a 100 pack of inserts from Bowhunters Superstore some time ago.

My two main hunting bows (45# recurve & 47# longbow) use 1916's. I have Legacy's for hunting and Blues for everything else. I purchase the inserts from whoever I get the shafts from.

They are a good shaft and are tough enough if I do my part.

I shoot Legacy's, the green Gamegetter's, and Autumn Orange 1916's. I get my inserts at a local archery shop

Good shafts.  I shoot them out of low- to mid-forty pound bows.  I footed some stumping shafts with short pieces of 2117s.  I purchased some inserts recently from The Nocking Point, a sponsor here.
