I notice a lot of people prefer longbows over recurves. I have never shot a longbow, just recurves. I am leaning towards a 17 inch Titan riser. I was thinking about maybe starting with longbow limbs. My question is, will I notice a difference between longbow vs recurve shootability with this riser, or does the difference in feel come from the standard slim longbow riser? Hopefully that made sense.

About the only thing you should notice is the lack of noise from string not slapping the limbs, and maybe a slight reduction in speed, depending on which longbow limbs you choose. Best of both worlds, imo.

I think you may like it!! The good thing about the ILF stuff is you can do both ,Longbow and Recurve.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I have a titan with TT carbon master LB limbs and it is a great bow in all aspects.

Thier are not as many longbow limbs available yet for ILF as thier are recurve limbs.I have had only 2 sets of longbow limbs for my ILF risers.I have had more recurve limb sets.So far my best recurve limbs have been better than the longbow limbs I have tried for overall shooting characteristics and speed.

I have not tried some of the longbow limbs though that are available.Like the Carbon master limbs mentioned above,Sky or morrison ILF longbow limbs.

A really good set of longbow limbs and quality recurve limbs should be pretty close though performance wise and shootablity wise.I think you will see more very high quality longbow limbs start to show up in the furture.I dont think you would have any problem shooting a longbow limb on your riser vs a recurve limb.As long as the limb length fits you and its tuned well.

We offer three ILF longbow limbs that mate up well with your riser.

Check out our instock page for what we have right now.

I'm primarily a recurve shooter, but have a set of ACS longbow limbs that are sweet and perform right up there with the best recurve limbs.
