Yesterday Fred did a meet and great/small seminar at the Outdoorsman pro shop in Greenwood, In.

He is as everyone said!  Very very nice and easy to talk to.  Had some great stories and show us some trail cam videos, and his leopard hunt(scary!).  Funniest video was when he slapped a black bear on the butt!  I asked him how he liked developing his own bow which was neat.  I still haven't gotten to handle one yet, but I will.

He's the real deal and was awesome to talk to.  I got his book autographed and a Muzzy hat!  Good evening for me!!  I never thought I'd get to meet him.  Very glad he came out.

Thats awesome. A good friend of his owns a pro shop out here(if you watch easton bowhunting it is called Archery Headquarters) and Randy Phillips the owner said he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Fred was the guest speaker at our state banquet this past spring and 3 of us ended up booking a drop camp elk hunt for 2013. He is very easy to talk to and very down to earth definately the real deal.

He was, a long time ago. Maybe 4-5 years.

Fred is one of the few that truly hunt and enjoy the sport for what it is. Congrats on your opportunity.

He has a book which I got there and had him sign called "Bowhunting Western Big Game."  I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet.  I also had him sign a Muzzy hat which he graciously did also.

His stories were amazing.  He's been through some really close calls and we only heard a couple hours of it all.  Some it sounded like God was helping him out quite a bit with!  He also talked about working for Fred Bear and working for Frank Scott which was really neat.

It was funny my buddy and I were standing in the pro shop milling around by a door waiting for someone to say he's here.  All of a sudden the door behinds us opens and there he is walking out.  He looks at us and says. "Hi!  I'm Fred Eichler.."(I can't remember the rest I was in shock LOL) while shaking our hands and looking us in the eye.  Seems simple, but people don't do that much anymore.  He always gave you full attention when talking with you. He was jazzed elk season starts next week and started talking about that and this was all in the initial conversation.

He's just a bowhunter who loves the outdoors who is darn good at what he does.  Like I said it was a very cool experience I'll never forget.

I live about six miles away from him now. Would love to meet him but I don't want to just show up at his place like some kind of groupie.

Ya know if us trad guys could go hunting with one of this guys like Mr. Bear or Paul S. or any one of the greats Fred E. would be one of mine. I guess thats one reason I bought a buffalo.
