First time owning a Bear take-down and I'm noticing a slight clicking sound on the upper limb when I draw and let the string back down. Everything looks good I removed the limbs and reinstalled a few times but still hearing it. Both limbs and riser are new. Haven't shot it yet because it's raining. Any suggestions what I could try?......stabow

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

I think I found the problem after putting some string wax on the connecting surfaces I notice the string wasn't tracking into the grove, after some adjusting I believe I have the problem corrected.

Try putting two pieces of leather on the top of the limb tips fork. The back side of the limb that goes into the latch pocket I did this to both top and bottom and mine is quiet.

Had it out shooting today and everything seems good for now. I like the way it shoots. Don't know if it will be my Widow backup or my Widow will be my Bear backup.LOL......stabow

I think some of the problem is brace higth I need to keep it around 7.5 to 7.75 any higher than 7.75 the top limb  wants to twist which causes the string not wanting to track.......stabow

The top limb should not be twisting at all just due to a higher brace height 7 & 3/4" isn't that high for a takedown recurve anyway.

7.75 it's ok 8 is when it showed a twist. Over the years I've had several bows that did this.......stabow

Keep the limb sockets clean, I use bow a toothbrush and a Qtip.

I shoot my Bear TD at 8 inch brace no twist at all. That seems strange to me about your twist in the top limb.

I love bear TD bows.
