Had hernia surgery about a year ago.  I am amazed at how the scar has disappeared.  These modern-day surgeons are amazing.  That scar might end up looking like a faint scratch in a couple of years.  Best wishes for a happy healthy rehab!
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

That surgeon was probably using a single beveled scalpel! Hope everything goes great for you Ron!!

My wife has a pair like that. If that stems from the service be sure to file a claim with the VA!!!

I hope you have a very speedy recovery.  On the bright side "Chicks dig scars".  Just wear shorts every day and you will have 'em begg'in for an explaination.
Best of luck to ya.

Looking at the bright side... tatoos are "in" and that one was earned by a real man!

You have to admit it ain't easy to fit a scar that size around a match-stick leg   ;)

I need to get a new one also. Just been putting it off. I'm 61 hoping it will make it better. My wife says when it gets bad enough I'll want to go get it done and she is ALWAYS right!

Well, if Obama care stays and your doc finds himself looking for a new job he can always try stitching softballs.

Hang in there, it'll get better.

Oh man... Thanks for posting this.  I have very poor feet which affect my knees.  I am 40.  Doc told me I am in for a double knee replacement some time in my life BUT the best thing is for me to keep the weight down, exercise, and don't kneel or squat.  Seeing the pics of your knee has inspired me to keep working at this.  Good luck in your recovery!

Just do everything your PT tells you to do and everything will work out fine. I had a total knee replacement Jan 28th 2011 and I was back to work and doing everything except running and kneeling on it which is a great big NO NO by march 12th 2011. The Dr said that I made such good progress by following all my instructions to the letter. Just do not go home and sit on the couch. Keep it working and you will be fine. I have NO PROBLEMS at all with mine.

Makes for a real good shark attack story.

I know a tattoo artist who can turn that curvy scar into a sweet looking recurve!

Hope the recovery goes well.
