You are probably in the neighborhood of 6-7 hours from their shop. Drive over there and check out the pile of bows they often have in stock. Shoot a bunch of them and have them help you get into the right grip for you.

Great bows, possibly a once in a lifetime purchase for many people. It isn't worth guessing for $1,200! Make sure you get the best one for you.

I'm two and a half hour ftom their shop and I have shot all of them.  I hate the Asbel grip.  I was just wondering if there is some secret to the low grip.  To be honest I do lean toward the low but I shoot the standard just fine.

I prefer the low wrist grip. Shot the high wrist and never felt comfortable. Also shot the asbel once and did not care for it at all. I have three b.w. recurves and all have low wrist grips. I also like to wear light leather gloves in the winter so it is a big plus .

You can always go with a low asbell.....
Sights, SIGHTS, we don't need no stinkin sights!!!!!

It really, honestly makes no difference to me.  Maybe I'm weird.  I prefer the standard, although I have the Asbell also.  I had a low wrist in the past and sold it due to heavy draw wt.  The only difference I can tell is when I'm NOT shooting the bow and carrying it.  The standard feels best to my hand.  As for shooting.. they shoot identical for me and only the web and palm pad of my hand contact the grip (mostly web), so it makes no difference.
I know, if you are like many of us, you don't PLAN to ever sell it... but it happens more than most of us want to admit.  The standard would probably be easiest to unload and since it is the standard, would be kind of neutral for ya. I vote for the standard grip.
The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.

I stopped by the BW plant in MO last summer and shot several of their bows. Would highly recommend shooting before you buy. I came away preferring their "Toby" grip. I don't believe its been mentioned on this post, at least not by name, but it is worth considering. Good luck in your quest.

Asbell checkered by Dave Windauer, can't beat it.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.
