Lots of these posts but carbon arrow gurus are needed once more.  Just picked up a new to me Toelke Chinook marked 53#@29" and I draw just shy of 29".  I tried bareshafting CE 45-60's (.400 spine) with 100 gr. insert and point for 300grs up front.  Right now their cut to 30" and showing weak, real weak.  I put on a 125gr. head and it showed more weak?!  Nock set is at 3/4", (3 under shooter).  I then went down to a total of 140gr. up front and it showed even weaker.  I marked the riser with white deoderant and don't see that I'm striking the riser.  This has me really perplexed since I've been able to bareshaft other setups pretty well out to 30yards.  Any thoughts? and all responses are appreciated.
Thanks.
Mike

I would think that 225-250 total up front would fly good.

The last time I tried a setup I had worked all day and couldn't get anything to fly correctly. After some rest everything worked liked it should.

This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

You know Rob, you just might be right.  Mail lady came this morning and I probably put 60 fletched arrows through it stacking them at 20 and under, ate lunch and then went to bareshaft.  I'm just paranoid because when I first started years ago I was shooting arrows waaay too stiff and sending them off the riser/shelf without knowing any better.  I really thought that I was in the ballpark this time because these same shafts fly great out of my 50# Firefly, although this bow feels like I'm pulling a heck of alot more than 53#.

If you are stacking fletched arrows at 20 yards, why worry about bare shaftling??

Danny, because I'm anal.
No really it's because I shoot the big 160 Snuffers and am concerned about bh flight under less than perfect hunting conditions.
By the way, your collection of bows is awesome.  Love potion #9 is hands down the coolest bow I've ever seen.

Have you put this bow on a scale? It might just be mismarked.

First thing I thought of when I pulled it back but I don't have a scale.  I shoot during the summer with Tom Colstad of Trad Archer's World and he always has one lying in the back of the car so hopefully next time we get together I can check it.
