Hello all,ive read several threads about strings, what is the best.

atatarpm

That is going to be a matter of opinon and there are as many of thoses as there are people on trad gang.  I like flemish twist and fast flights on ff capable bows or B 50's on older bows

I prefer a string made of 14-16 strands of fast flight plus material for bows that are ff capable. B 50 on all other bows.

Oliverstacy makes one heck of a string.  He gives detailed instruction and a tag with each one so you always know what you ordered and makes it easy to reorder.  He is quick and has excellent communication throughout the whole process.

Material or construction or maker?  Either way, it's a Ford/Chevy/Dodge kind of question.

With material, the better FF type materials are all very similar, at least when used properly.

With construction, either endless of flemish will get the job done just fine.  They each have their small advantages, but nothing major.

Makers can vary more than anything else, IMO, but to me are like bows--a good one is a good one, but some are better at marketing than others.

If you want to narrow down the question, I'll try to give a better answer.

A fast flight flemish bowstring is my preference.

I second what JamesKerr said. No need for padding the loops  or special thick serving. The FF plus is plenty fast enough and yet is way more forgiving to my bow in the long run and quiet. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. lol
