Those look really good. I agree with an earlier poster that I wouldn't have known you were new at it unless you told us.

I'm in process of making my own woodies for the first time, too. Got some poplars from Magnus here on the sponsors classifieds. I'll do a couple unstained for testers then try and figure out what two stains I want for hunting arrows.

I think the purple ones look pretty cool

David Mitchell

Way better looking than my first ones many years ago.  Nice work.  :thumbsup:
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Very nice indeed, especially for your first go at it. I crested my first wood arrow over 20 years ago and yours are way better than mine was.

Well done!
Shooting together at the 3-D range just got a bit more fun, I expect. Making arrows together would be a great next step. If that activity gets to be too much fun, I could see that a few deliberately lost arrows might be in the cards for future shoots.   ;)

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
