I think most folks around here know what the blob targets are. The ones with the carpet backing foam sprayed into a box. Best targets there are. Anyway I have been through a few, usually when the center gets shot out I shoot at the sides and then parts of them get used as broad head targets. The center on my best one got shot out. So, yesterday I took my chainsaw and cut roughly a 7 inch square all the way through the target removing the shot out center. I then sawed a square section from a piece of an old target big enough to tightly work into the hole in my good target. I then sprayed some Great Stuff in the cracks to help fill them in and also act as glue to hold it in place. Looks like it should last as long as a new target and didn't cost anything as I already had the foam.

I have wanted to try one of those.  I shoot up a Rinehart 18:1 target in about 3 months.  Not too bad if I get on in late summer I can shot it a lot and then get on it with broad heads for hunting season prep, but by winter it is crumbs.  Then I get a warrantee replacement and keep it until the next year late summer.  I get a decent broad haed target, but I would like something that would last a lot longer and take a lot more broad heads use.

About how many shots do you think it takes to shoot a hole in a blob?

This one is at least three years old maybe more. I don't shoot as much as I once did so hard to tell how many shots but it's a lot. Broad heads are another story. I do shoot it some with broad heads but they will tear up a target pretty fast. I usually keep old targets for broad heads.

Blobs are awesome. I got the big one.  I don't think they use a mold for the large size, just some kind of containment.  It is about 3' x 4' and weighs around 200 lbs.  You don't move it around a lot once you set it.  Mine stays on a dolley!!!
