Is there a benefit to having a nock point above and below the arrow for split finger shooting?

Green

Yes, because once you've released the string the arrow won't slide downward.

Ok, it just feels like my fingers are split too far apart. It's probably a good thing.

Green

Your fingers can be placed directly over tied on nocks so you have a normal feel and that won't affect arrow flight.  If you're not using a tied on nock, here's a very good one that's easy to do:

Agree w/tied on nocks. Much smoother than catching rough edges of the brass.

Stretch string complete (24 hours), adjust fistmele, & tie nock (dental floss or whatever). May dab micro hit of wood glue fore & aft securing the floss to the string to keep it from moving...usually not.
