Any Place to Get Shafts for Footing? (THANK YOU, JON STEWART!)

I dug through the 35 year accumulation of old arrows in my dad's shed trying to find some 2216 shafts for footing. I did find a couple, but they're camo. I was planning to make some nice dipped and crested arrows. I don't want to put a camo foot on them. Is there any place that just sells solid color sleeves to use as footing? I saw the ones at 3rivers, but I'd rather have something longer and just more like an arrow shaft.

If not, I may try to sand the anodizing off the camo ones and just have silver footing.

Post it in the classified section. That's what I did and ended up getting some for free..

I'm using camo XX75 2117 and they don't "sand off" the camo easily...   :)

What I did do was sand them lightly and spray with some rustoleum black paint, then hit it when thorougly dry with #000 steel wool to dull them down and they blend in nicely on the GT's.

I've shot quite a few 3D's with them and they're showing "some" paint wear, but not bad! FWIW

Steel wool and acetone should remove the finish, and as David said paint them. I would use Rustoleum appliance Epoxy paint(use this on sand spikes for fishing the beach and it doesnt wear off at all)and just dull it up.

Or you can just use the camo footing and then use heat shrink over it to give it a finished look.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll probably try some of this later. But, Jon Stewart (member here), has mailed me some solid color shafts to use. He did it unsolicited and for no charge. Many thanks to him! There are some great guys here, and Jon is one of them.

I have some 2216 Legacy's (wood grain) if that will help, that you are welcome to. Let me know if its some thing you want.
