I did a trade for a 2011 Bear A takedown riser and 56 inch A limbs ....  what do you Bear folks suggest for a brace height to start??

Thank you

Congrats on your trade.

For me 8.5" brace height seems to work best on all my A risers....your results may vary though.

Good luck!!

John I am running 8 inches with an SBD 8 strand and a set of cat whiskers. Nice and quiet. I run 1/2 inch on the nock set, but that is my particular set up. Enjoy.

i actually found a manual online that gave 7.75 - 8.75 for the actual brace height i am running 8" on mine and it shoots so smooth

I'm just shy of 8 inches. My string may have stretched a little bit. With a pair of Rose Oak #1 limbs, it's the quietest recurve I own.

Just over 8" with an 8 strand SBD string on my 2004 version.  Thanks tukudu for relighting another obsession!!  Now I want another.

These Bear TD's are such good shooters they will shoot with just about any brace height between 7.5 and 8.5". Lots of good advice here.

They shoot so nicely it's hard to mess them up. Start where you like and adjust accordingly.

I do find my B risers like a lower brace height than my A's though.
