I picked up an old Bear Cub marked 62" 50# low serial number in the 300's for free. It has black and grayish green glass. There are some length wise cracks but it seems tight. The previous owner wrapped the bow in masking tape to deal with some small pieces of loose glass along the limb edges.
I got all the tape off and super glued down the fine loose glass along the edges. Later I plan to sand down the entire bow as the original finish is coming off. At that point I was thinking of weather to paint the bow, go with a dull lacquer, or oil finish?

Also what kind and length of string would you recommend?

Thanks
