I have some bend aluminium arrows .
Anyone who could tell me how to make them straight.
I know there is a machine called "arrow straighter" or something like that , however it is too expensive for me .
IS there anyway to make them straight just using some handy tools?
Thanks very much

There is not any way to straighten them with out a straightener, even with one I still can't straighten them all.

Exactly! Aluminum will take a set. Once you stretch metal...it's hard to get it perfectly straight. I usually straighten mine as good as I can and use'em for stumpin. I think Kustom King sells a hand straightener...if I remember correctly.

You can straighten them by hand but its not gonna be perfectly straight.

Crows right.I invested in a good Dial straightener years ago.Its paid for itself over many times.

I bought a simple arrow straightener years ago made by Groves.  It has worked remarkably well for years and has saved many aluminum arrows.  You might post an ad on the classifieds for one--I bet there are lots of them out there now gathering dust since their owners have switched to wood or carbon.  Never hurts to try. The arrow sits in two "V" shaped supports (space between them can be varied) and there is a lever that presses on the high side with a pointer dial sort of like a spine tester pointer to show bends as you slowly rotate the shaft on the blocks.  Works great.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

It has been my experience that even if I was able to get an aluminum arrow straight, it easily bends again. When I used aluminum I used to straighten then and use them as squirrel or stumping arrows as others above said.

Normaly the hardest part to staighten is up close to the tip.

I had a tool maker buddy of mine take a 3/8" in dia. stainless rod 6" long turned down to my 1918's on one end and 2016's on the other for 3" then turn the screw in part of the point on each end.

I can straighten shafts that have been bent right out to the very end.

All you need is a tool maker buddy!!

Look for one of these...cheap and easy to use, and will straighten most of your aluminums for roving use. They're not made any more, but do show up occasionally.
