Hi gang.  I've been searching high and low for any info on Black Widow's stick tite glove.  Any experience?  Looks like the price is right.  Do they stretch much?  True to size?

On a side note- how would it compare to the pdq?

Thanks for your time!

Darryl Quidort

I've had one for a long time.  I like it and still shoot it now and then.  Mine fits the same and shoots the same as my pdq glove, never stretched at all.  They do stick tite though, meaning I can't pull my fingers out to zip a zipper or do a button while wearing it. Once it's on...it's on.

I've been interested in these gloves for a while.  They look interesting, but I've never tried one yet.  I am always on the lookout for the so called "perfect" glove and have yet to find one.

I like the Hill style but I find that when I release the string the glove slips and I have to pull it back on and position it before the next shot.  I hate that.  If this one works the way you say it does I'm going to have to try one.

I really like this glove. It doesn't slip at all. I use it when shooting my HH Redman.

I purchased one a couple of months ago in the same size as I normally wear. They do fit extremely
tight, hence the name stick tite. I don't find myself having to adjust the fingers every time I shoot now.

Been using one for about 2 years.  I went with a medium, like my gloves kind of tight.  After shooting it for a while, fits perfect.   Picked up a spare at KZoo.

I'm shooting mine more than my big shot

Primitive Spirit

Sounds like a sweet glove. I likem tight too. Whats the going rate on these?

Igor

My favorite glove - long stalls - true to size and good protection (I shoot the one without the nylon stalls)yet you have still have decent string feel. Can't beat the price - I've been shooting one daily for 2 years and it still has a lot of life...bought a 2nd recently to break it in just in case I lose the other.  I also like mine better than my american leather gloves.

Are the stalls as long as the ones for the PDQ?

I believe they are longer . Pdq/ Damascus ? Stick Tite and Big Shot are all I shoot.

Bumpin this up.

I just ordered one. They are out of larges so I went with a medium. I have a hard time finding a glove that fits good, they are usually too loose in the stalls but fine the rest of the glove. Roger at black widow said I could return it if it was too small.

So, now that I am done rambling..... I was looking at getting a EW Bateman with inserts, a HHA delux, or crossover before I found out about the BW, because I need more finger protection. For those of you who have shot the stick tight with nylon tips and the other gloves how would you say it compares for protection?  I don't need string feel as I prefer to not feel anything but the tension of the string anyhow so I'm looking for a pretty thick glove, but one that holds tight to the fingers.

I also have a Neet traditional glove with cordovan and I love how thick it is, but the large is way too big for me so I don't shoot it.

Thanks for your help

Once broken in, mine fit perfectly. I have the padded one. It's just enough stiffness that you take a lot of string pressure off but still "feel"  where it is. It improved my accuracy immensely and allowed me to hold my draw longer than a non padded stall. And the stalls don't slip off on the shot causing me to pluck like my last glove!

Pretty much all I use , w/o nylon. I like the way I can feel the string.  A very good glove , not much stretch and gives a good release.

Thank you. Do you have any experience with the other gloves?

Used to shoot tabs, the old Bear gloves, thin deer hide gloves, Big Shot , Damascus gloves. I like these best .

I use a XL big shot glove. I used one of the pdq but the stalls would slide after releasing the arrow. What size would be a good one to try if I use the XL Big shot glove now? I like these type of gloves, but the last one I bought that was this style fit fine on my hand but the stalls were so tight I could barely get them on my finger tips and never did get them to the tips.

I would  talk with Roger at BW. He is very helpful

If you like long stalls and I do, you can't go wrong. I have had the others and gave them away after using this glove.
I like a deep hook and this glove provides that opportunity, others don't.
