I was reading Petersens Bowhunting magazine today and I was reviewing the 2012 new products . Clean shot archery is now making a broadhead that is fitted with an internal laser.  What will they think of next. I know this is just one more thing in the modern hunters arsenal.  However it makes me appreciate being apart of the trad world that much more. I am glad I have chosen the traditional bowhunting path withput all of these new fangled gadgets.

I with you on this one, nothing can be simple now a day!!
And even in the trad world these days, some people can get carried away with gadgets and the like!! Life is to short to be complicated! Keep it simple, keep it real!!

Funny   When the Iraq War started ten years back  they were using smart bombs.  A laser was shot to the target and the bomb followed the laser aimed at the target.

We were at a bar one day talking archery and watching  the news on the Iraq bombing and I made the following statement:

" I bet you the high tech archery industry  will make an arrow with a laser someday"

The rest of the gang just laughed at me told me that was a little far fetch.

I guess I got the last laugh

I don't get it.  What good is a laser coming out of broadhead.  Even the fastest compounds don't shoot at light speed, so where that laser is pointed isn't where the arrow will hit.

One more gimic that some idiot will buy.  Kudos to the manufacturer.  They must have learned something from P.T. Barnum - "There's a sucker born every minute."

I used to work in an archery shop and I quit and moved on to trad after seeing person after person choose the bigger faster stronger bow/broadhead over what was ethically best for actually harvesting to deer.
PS you don't hear that too often from a 23 year old Iowa Boy..
Amen.
