What would you guys start your nock point at when tuning a bow for split fingers. I see that a lot of guys are shooting 1/8" high. Mine is currently set at 5/8" and this gets good flight. Is this abnormally high for a split fingered shooter.

Depends on the bow and brace height, but I am about 1/2 to 5/8 on most my bows.

im right there with both of ya

I usally start at 1/2" and adjust slightly up or down alitle or leave it there. My ACS likes it at 5/8" and I shoot spilt finger, most of my bows are 1/2" to 5/8".

daniel boon

7/16" seems to work for most of my bows

wtpops

If you are getting good flight then it sounds like you found the right nock point

I will start high then work my way down so i dont get a false high reading by bouncing the nock end of the arrow off the shelf

I shoot 3-under but I'm 1/2"-5/8" on all my curves.

By the way, this is one of the easiest things to check.  I know some don't like paper-tuning but it works and works great for nock locator.

Clip a sheet of paper, say 24"x24" over a frame (open-ended box, picture frame, etc.). Put the frame at shoulder level about 2arrow lengths from your backstop (so the arrow passes clear through before it hits the paper. Then step back 6-9' and shoot a couple arrows trying to execute your best form. A level hole rather than a high or low tear is what you're after for nock locator.  This is the first thing I do once I've put an arrow together for a specific bow.

mmilinovich

I shoot TWO-under and have my nock set at 9/16" on my RER.

I shoot split finger; one over two under. My anchor point is my middle finger in the corner of my mouth. My nock set is at 5/8".

x2 on the paper tune.

I have been very impressed with the papertune for nock height.

It really tells a lot visually.
