I have a springy rest and it sticks out the back of the riser and the quiver will not fit now.  Has anyone ever cut the tail end of a rest off so it does not stick out so far?  I was thinking about cutting it so there was at least 1" sticking out then cutting a slit in it so you could use a flathead screwdriver to adjust the rest.

Can you put up a pic? personally I never had a problem modifying anything that was in the way.

I used to shoot with springy rest all the time with compound bows. I would cut them back with a hacksaw and cut a slot to help with adjustments.(just like you described)

Sounds like you have a good plan already. You may could cut it off and drill a hole through it. Then use a finish nail or such to adjust it. Either way should work.

Another thought and probably a stronger fix would be to cut it off and file a flat on two sides. Then you could use a wrench or pliers
