That Nevada Backcountry is awesome!! Sure enjoy seeing you get it done with those Stalker recurves.
One question! Having Bivied in AZ where water is scarce, are you caching water or are there sources to purify back in those mountains?
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight;nothing he cares about more than his own personal safety;is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I really enjoyed the video! That looks like a lot of fun and a lot different than our Midwest whitetail hunting, sitting in trees or crunching oak leaves! I think I could learn to dig it out west.
Great job & congrats on the fine buck & video!

Hey Gang,

South is having some internet connection issues with his computer and can't respond yet.

He should be back on shortly, if not I'll call him to get your questions answered.

Thank you!

My computer seemed to have the 24 hour flu yesterday, but I'm back online now. Whew!  The video was shot on public land in Nevada (my wife shot the video while I dragged her all around over hill and dale.  She is quite the trooper!).  We bivy hunted the whole time and only returned to base camp after filling my tag (this year we spent the whole 8 day hunt out--with only 5 days of food--and came back tag intact at the end of the hunt  :(  ).
The area we hunt has pretty good water on the wet years.  I've hunted it before where I have to drop down to the creeks a couple of thousand vertical feet to get water, but fortunately that year was pretty good for precipitation/snow.
