I have always been curious about the Great Northern Field Bow.

So a month back I found a little extra cash as the result of selling another bow and figured I'd give one a try.

I already had a  Bushbow and my first impression upon shooting the Field Bow was, now I have two short longbows of similar poundage that shoot about the same.

Anyway, thought about selling it, even listed it briefly in the classifieds. But, after shooting it for a couple more days I just can't bring myself to let it go.

They are feather light, pretty quick and absolutely whisper quiet.

From a pure shooting fun and bang for your buck, not sure how you can beat these bows for $295.

Here is what they look like:

I like the looks of her. That brown glass is sweet!

That is sweet, hopefully I can get to the Sunday shoot and try her out...

Good decision there....

WESTBROOK

Very nice bows! I'd have one in a second if I could get him to build one longer.

Eric:

I am drawing this one just over 30" without issue.

I'm sure the bow will do it, but I've been that route and didnt care for it. I'm thinkin 64-66".

Eric:

I am going just the opposite direction. Shot 68-70" Hill style bows for hunting.

I hunt from natural ground blinds and am finding the 6--62" bows to be really handy.

They are not as accurate at distance for me but I set most my shots up for 15 yards or less so that isn't and issue.

That looks like a lot of bow for $295.00.  I like it!
