I dont treat the rest or plate, and wood arrows are tough, thats all I shoot they were around before alum and carbon. A ton of guys shoot them and I feel they fly better for me. Have no worries with wood and taking any animal in North America (or any other continent for that matter) with wood.

Is wood practical with my draw lenght ?

I have a 60# and 70# bow and my son(10 yo) has a 30# bow and my doughter(8 yo) has a 25# bow, and my oldest (17 yo) has a 45# bow and we all shoot wood.
